Plex-A-Bond
The affordable alternative to epoxy floor systems. For
industrial, commercial and residential use.
Acrylic Additive used with cement products and jobsite
installations ensures positive bonding. A concentrate liquid
binder (no powders) to be used as a bonding agent, leveling
coat and curing compound.
Polymer modified cement builds strength into cement based
mixes. The proper cement/polymer ratio can increase
compressive and flexural strength as much as 33% to 42%.
Plex-A-Bond is a water dispersion of an acrylic polymer
specifically designed for modifying portland cement
compositions.
The Plex-A-Bond terrazzo system is sanitary, flame proof and
has an installed cost that is 25% less than similar epoxy
floors.
All terrazzo colors and design figures can be provided in a
3/8" thick monolithic system that bonds itself to the
concrete substrate.
The Plex-A-Bond system gives a finished floor in less time
with no fumes or odor. Ease of maintenance and durability
give a quality floor at an affordable price.
Installation is provided by recognized terrazzo contractors.
Plex-A-Bond thin-set terrazzo conforms to the National
Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA) specifications.
As a bond coat: Each gallon of Plex-A-Bond mixes with two
gallons of water to form three gallons of bonding liquid
which will cover 1,000 to 1,500 sq. ft., depending on the
texture of the concrete substrate.
As a leveling coat: One gallon of Plex-A-Bond will mix with
two gallons of water to wet sufficient sand and cement to
top 90 sq. ft. at 1/4" thickness.
For grouting: One gallon of Plex-A-Bond will mix with two
gallons of water to combine with pure cement for grouting
2,000 sq. ft. or more.
As a concrete waterproofing or curing compound: Same as for
use as a bond coat.
